Time for an update!

I am totally deleting all the crap I just wrote about blah feelings. Let's talk about ANIME!

So, I just recently watched the first season of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, ( Spoilers )

I did actually immediately start loading the second season after that, but I had watched episodes 9-13 in one evening and decided my heart couldn't take anymore wonderful right then. So I'll be getting back into it very soon XD

Also I needed to flail properly! Before I could go on this season had to get a moment of appreciation first! I think that's only fair!

I might even try and get back into proper flailposts when I watch things. Anime isn't the best medium for that because the episodes are pretty short, but it isn't impossible! And after falling utterly in love with Firefly (yeah I kind of regret not having flailposts for that but I was WAY TOO BUSY FLAILING TO WRITE DOWN WORDS) I will definitely be making a proper post when I watch the movie Serenity (hi Bhex 8D)

You might, if you've been following my journal for a while, have seen me mention Noey (aka thelittleone). Or possibly seen her commentspamming me ;) Many of you are friends with both of us, but some of you aren't, so you may not know that Noey is a singer-songwriter.

I'll come back to that in one second!

I am watching the Gokaiger vs. Gavan movie RAW. 'WARE SPOILERS. There are 71 screencaps in this half (which is why I decided to split it into two parts XD) Also the video is from youtube, the screencaps aren't quality. It has not dampened my personal enjoyment one bit 8D

You know how, sometimes, someone is using their mobirates to talk to someone else, who isn't also using their own? So I am thinking the Galleon must have speakers or some kind of amplification system, to broadcast what's being said over the mobirates?

Because, you know, that has potential.

I stayed up and watched the first ep of What's Up and OMG I LOVE EVERYONE. (No screencaps because I watched streams and they are really not fun to go back and find screencaps for).

Today has been a good day, and I am going to share some of the reasons why:

- Email notif for something shipping :D HI-MIT-SU~ (Can I just say I love how that word allows you to string it out, what use is it trying to sing-song "see-ee-cret~"? XD)
- Got invited to Mike and Kim's for dinner and boardgames tomorrow XD
- NO STUPID Q&A SESSION DURING THE AUDIT AT WORK!!!1!!!! Did hear Mike and our store manager both getting drilled though. And I don't know if either of them came out of it with sparkling results :x
- My hours for next week, while having the down side of being less than 20hrs total, are only spread over three days, meaning I have four glorious days off to talk to people, make FEELINGSTAGS™, read books, watch KDramas... Okay so I won't get all of those things done, but I have the best of intentions! <3
- I DID THIS AMAZING PIPING AT WORK I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN. JUST TRUST ME. Sid-sempai, you'll be so proud of me.
- Noey and I talking and flailing properly for the first time in what feels like forever.

I turned a corner today, I think. I came home tired and with a pain in my shoulder from stress (I'm not going into it, suffice to say someone at work with a reputation for being the only person I Do Not Like found out I am leaving and it's probably going to spread like wildfire :|), BUT now I am feeling positive about things I haven't felt positive about for... months.

This doesn't solve all my problems, but this is me turning a corner. And sitting here smiling <3

(Confession: Sometimes I can't write Joe when I'm upset because I'm worried all my own emo is going to come out via him, and suddenly he'll have issues he isn't even supposed to have. And bb has enough of those!)

I think I'm going to try and make an effort to update LJ more often again. I'm missing a lot of people I know almost solely through this site, and my circle has become way too insular in recent months. I need to expand out again, it's doing me no good. This month hasn't been kind to me so far.

It's because I hang out on plurk all the time that I've neglected LJ completely - just like twitter, you can just spam plurk all day long with short little updates, links to things. I spam mostly about tokusatsu lately - Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Kamen Rider OOO, pretty (Tenimyu) boys, and a lot of Miura Ryosuke who is just perfect. (I totally bought and now own this photobook).

But maybe I'll just consolidate all my little quick link spams and make a LJ update every day, or at least every few days so I am not driving everyone crazy. Let's try to make this a resolution, self. It doesn't need to wait until January 1st!

Some LJ people I'd like to say hi to, because I constantly wonder if you guys know how much you mean to me, and that I totally consider you friends even if we've drifted fandoms or don't talk as much as we used to: (IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER, NO FAVES XD)

aliaspiral - I hope yuletide is treating you okay - no more bears! TRAP THOSE BEARS.
anenko - your comment definitely helped motivate me to make this post <3 I am so glad you're doing better, and I hope you're back for good. I think considering what an understanding person you are, and how aware you are of others feelings, you have to deal with way too much crap from fandom and I often dislike 'them' for it :|
chelshock - I am following your nailart tumblr all the time just so you know! I love following your creations, especially the free-drawn things, like the Christmas and Halloween designs :D ALSO I MISS YOUR SUGAR GLIDERS, PICSPAM SOON <3
pendingprogress - it's been a while, I hope you're doing okay! I really miss your epic updates, which I of course read completely even if I don't always have anything to comment on :) (And when I do I do that annoying thing where I just agree with all your common sense XD)
sour_kitty - if I regret one thing about falling off of LJ it's not commenting on all of your posts XD I miss us talking all the time! I miss MSN Messenger just because of you!
truntles - SO GLAD to see you back on LJ in recent weeks and months, it was not the same without you <3 I love your photos and your icons too! How is work treating you?
willowcabin - is it weird that I just find following your life insanely interesting? I think I could say this for the other people on my flist living in my country, because there's something warm and familiar about the no-nonsense British attitude. You're still one of the best fic writers ever <3

Honestly, I've wanted to do this any number of times before now, for a long time. But I worry about who I might offend if I leave them out, things like that. This is precisely why I decided against Christmas presents this year, even small ones, because people know people, and if someone doesn't get something will they be offended? These are the things I worry about.

Also I've had the experience in the past of not just not getting any real kind of thank you, but not even getting acknowledgment that someone received their gift. I had to chase them up about it, and it's not a nice feeling. So, once bitten, twice shy - these are some reasons why I don't do holiday cards :)
