the epic search for a book

emothySo. There was a book on my desk two days ago; In Conquest Born - I felt like rereading it. It is no longer here. I have no fricking idea where it's gone.
I thought perhaps I'd knocked it off, but it's not on the floor. It didn't fall into my work bag. I didn't take it over to the sofa to curl up and read and just forget it. I didn't take it into the bedroom again and put it back on the shelf, or near the bed to read.
It's somehow disappeared into a black hole for books I never knew existed. WHERE IS MY BOOK?
I've been looking for two whole daaaaaaaaaaays!
Someone please divine the answer for me :'(

IN MY DEFENSE I HAD TO STAND ON THE SOFA AND LOOK RIGHT OVER TO FIND IT.Yeah, I figured it was time for a reread of something familiar, and after we discussed it the other day I was in the mood for it! Need to actually start it yet though.
