"I'm not doing Yuletide this year, but if I was I would have (nominated to ensure they were there, and then) requested these fandoms:" [include requests if you wish!]

NONE OF MINE ARE ACTUALLY YULETIDE FANDOMS. THEY ARE *TOO* OBSCURE CLEARLY ;D (Although I'm thinking since POT is too large to qualify the RPF might be too? But the Myus are different, like the CDrama is :/)
- Wang Qiu Wang Zi 2/Prince of Tennis Season 2 - Chinese Drama
Anything with the Li Hai Da troika, basically. With Zhen Tian being all gloaty and smug about how awesome Li Hai Da are in general. And possibly bonus Liu Lian and Zhen Zhi fun-times!
- My Prince/Lai Ka Qing Wa Wang Zi - Chinese Drama
God, anything. The brothers are awesome, their mother is awesome, most every single female character is awesome. Although I suppose I have a secret love for crushed!Wei Wei bcause I'm awful. But she's so pretty, like a doll. I would read futurefic with her married to the wrong guy and still playing puppet on strings to her rich family.
- Tenimyu - RPF
...Kane/Ouji, Kane/Massu, Massu/Mio... (Kane/Ouji and Massu/Mio that ends up Kane/Massu? XD) I'm pretty equal opportunities when it comes to pairing these boys XD Masa/Baba, Baba/Genki, Okki/Mittchan... Genki/anyone because he has a pretty mouth... Noey has probably clawed her eyes out of the sockets by now XD OR just general dorky behind-the-scenes antics with Rikkai! And possibly Ryoma and Ryuuki and Shouta and Tsuji of Seigaku cameo-ing and being dorks too. Or put Ryoma and Kane together and see what havoc the two apparent biggest dorks of Tenimyu can wreak together!
- Story of A Man - Korean Drama
Kyung Tae fic. It just has to be done because Kyung Tae is adorable. Kyung Tae and Shin, Kyung Tae and Jae Myung, Kyung Tae and Eun Soo, Kyung Tae and Shin's nieces and babysitting adventures, who cares! As long as it's adorable and it has Kyung Tae (which makes it adorable by default really).

Date: 2010-11-18 09:34 am (UTC)My Prince is about a mother and her four sons in their twenties, (presumably in their twenties). Their mother has brought them up alone, but she's a bit of a screw-up, though she loves them a lot. All she wants for her sons is for them to marry rich girls and supposedly then they will have good lives and no worries.
A drama set around romance and relationships isn't my usual choice, but it stars a lot of the actors who were in Wang Qiu Wang Zi (all minor part characters), so I persuaded myself to give it a go. I'm now 13 episodes in, and I've discovered a drama that doesn't take itself too seriously and yet amidst all the silliness there's real heart. The family dynamic between all of them is adorable, and you can see the difference between any two of them in the way they are towards one another. And though some of the romance feels rushed in this short series, there are moments that have really pulled the heart strings for me, and female characters that manage to be awesome even when they're doing things that would normally annoy - being upset and confused and unable to choose between two guys, or trying to learn how to be less clumsy and more 'feminine' to catch a guy's attention (hahaha).
The youngest brother is Zhi Xiao, played by Song Xiao Bo who is deaf and mute in real life. They explain this away in the drama by saying he got sick when he was young and it left him deaf and mute.
I can't say much as to how they treat this other than what I see when I watch. I mean a couple of times admittedly there are moments when he can't possibly have known what was said because he wasn't looking the person's way, but that might just be bad direction, because they all obviously know the script. I can only think of one character in the series apart from him who appears fluent in sign language, but all of the cast who play his family appeared to have learnt a small amount to interact with him - he does read lips, however (whether this is true for real life or just for ease of the drama I don't know! Hopefully it's true). And, most suprisingly of all to me, because I was kind of expecting it to be blatantly ignored (I'm a cynic!), they give Xiao Bo romance storylines!
