me being critical?

emothyI finished Long Love Letter. I just watched the last two eps in a row because I have been letting this drama hang for far too long.
So. First of all, I was just going to post "HUMANS MUTATED INTO FREAKY THINGS ARE REALLY FUCKING FREAKY. Seriously, I get the spider resemblance XD, and if I was making jokes I'd be all over the telepathic spiders. But actually thinking about humans evolving onto all fours and growing these elongated limbs. Ew. *shudders*. So even though they didn't actually do too much, considering ("you can't survive in this world, but we can't be bothered to kill you for some reason so we'll let you succumb to the elements and other wild and wacky issues around here even though so far only about two of you have actually kicked it!") they still freaked me out.
And I've decided I am amazingly pick about endings. So few things satisfy me, ending-wise. And I am SHIT at writing endings myself, so don't ask me what it is I want! Ambiguity does not suit me, however, I know that. And it sucks because life is not black and white, there is a lot of grey area. I can't just have it all wrapped up neatly and explained.
I mean, as far as I'm concerned, was it supposed to be, "Asami receieves scraps of letter, changes his mind about calling Misaki, the whole world is saved?". Because I am not buying it. And having nobody at all remember what they went through together feels emotionally unsatisfying, even though I understand that we saw them in a time before any of it (would have) happened. Still bums me out.
All I can think now is that it could still happen, except that this time round at least Asami and Misaki would've gotten it on before the great school-time-jumping catastrophy XD

dorama_watch and it depends what is chosen next for both that and the other gap to fill. I'd like something NEW to me again, if they are both things I've seen before. And I also want to rewatch Mei-chan, but I am stopping myself from doing it too quickly XD Wait another few weeks, self!

Yes! That got to me, too. Asami's injury is a big deal that calls for two episodes, and Misaki's death takes place in a few minutes. I didn't cry, either, because Asami loosing Misaki at that point was just too cruel to be real.
We need to know that those connections were reformed in some magical destined way!
I want fic to address exactly that. I had vague plans to write LLL fic, but got distracted by. . . hmm, Love Shuffle, I believe. Someday, I'll rewatch the series again and tackle some of the issues I had with it.
Despite the series' flaws, did you enjoy it overall?

I did enjoy the series overall; Asami and Misaki were seriously cute; one of the best OTPs ever ;) And it wasn't all just ridiculous and flaw-ridden; some of it was just cracky enough to suspend your belief and enjoy anyway. And the premise was always something I was going to find interesting for the whole survival/getting back to their time issue. No matter how they actually handled it, I just wanted to see how they would.
