I want to write, but I don't know what. Anyone have any requests/suggestions? Those of you who actually read my fic or know what fandoms I'll write!
(Of course, I'm going to bed in roughly two hours, then I'll be gone for two days, so if you don't get in quick don't be surprised if I don't get back to you XD)

Sawada has always been sort of jealous of Uchiyama; when caught up in a fight, that is. Sawada is busy ducking out of the way of a hand about to fist in her hair and yank, but she still has a split-second in which to turn her head and glance Uchi's way. Uchi manages to fight quite easily in her knee-high boots, and when the girl opposite stumbles she gets a heel in the backside that sends her off her hands and splattering into the mud, chin-first.
Uchi is kind of in awe of the way Sawada fights. She avoids the clawing, scratching, screaming and shaking as much as possible, and relies on dodging until she has an opening. Once she finds her moment, she disables the other girl with one solid punch in the face. Uchi is quietly proud of her own tendency to bite if anyone gets too close, but she'd much rather be able to land a punch that sets off a scarlet river. The blood usually freaks the other girls out more than anything else during the course of the fight.
The other three crowd round as the centre girl clutches at her nose, blood leaking between her fingers.
"They started it," Sawada says, and Uchi grins her agreement. If anyone asks, their stories will match. "Besides, four against two..."
"They were out to play dirty from the start," Uchi says, re-tying the few braids that have come loose. They turn away, their backs to the other girls still kneeling on the ground. "Shouldn't be surprised that we would do the same."
Sawada stoops to grab the handle of her schoolbag, and offer Uchi hers. When they both straighten up their eyes both fall on Yankumi at the same time.
"Upset with us?" Sawada challenges. She can't read the look on Yankumi's face, but it isn't surprising; Yankumi is having trouble trying to work out what she is feeling herself. "Angry?"
"No..." Yankumi admits, and stops. She certainly doesn't need them knowing what she actually feels right now is ridiculously proud.

Date: 2009-05-02 02:12 am (UTC)I love how Uchi's proud of being a biter; that has got to be one of my favourite lines from this entire piece.

Aww. The dynamic with a class of girls must be really different. Yankumi doesn't approve of fighting (unless she's the one doing it FOR JUSTICE!), but it must feel good to know that her girls can take care of themselves.
(If you haven't already been offered one, do you want an invite code to Dreamwidth?)

Date: 2009-05-02 06:38 am (UTC)(I was talking about DW with someoen else on my flist; I have no idea what I would use another journal for, and it might be dangerous to find out! XD Thank you for the offer, though! ...Knowing me, I'd use it to organise things into lists. I'm good at lists.)

Date: 2009-05-07 10:47 pm (UTC)I didn't think about it until I read your fic, so we're pretty much even on that front. *g*
Yankumi has the respect of her men, but I'm sure she can't be clueless about the sexism that women--especially *troublesome* girls like her students face. I'll bet class 3-D gets the "you'll never find a husband if you don't behave!" speech so often they can recite it from memory.
If you change your mind about the DW invite, give me a shout. I have a bunch of them, and no one on my flist who needs one. I don't want my invites to go to waste!
