methinks i whine too much?
Jan. 17th, 2006 04:51 pmBlah, when technology decides to hate me, it all decides to hate me all at once.
The Sims won't play on my computer until I 'log on with supervisor privileges' or something, but HELLO I AM ALREADY SHUT UP. I uninstalled and reinstalled it to make it work and it wouldn't; apparently you can do THAT without supervisor privileges. AND, my DVD player (the actual one, not on the computer) froze up in the middle of nowhere and now keeps telling me there's 'no disc' when there clearly has been about four different ones in there. Luckily if I have to replace that it only cost about £30 in the first place, that's affordable.
The computer, not so much. I'd love to know how I absolutely completely manage to bugger up my computers all the time. They're worse than humans when it comes to infections and destroying themselves from the inside I swear.
Eh. Carrie passed her driving theory test this morning. At least my friends are happy.
I also wrote about three whole entire lines of fic. Go me. I just want to write again, but there are no ideas in this head that don't completely SUCK. Or when I think of a teeny tiny possibility of an idea I can't get it out onto the page. BLAH. And I look for challenges to push me to write but none of them are INTERESTING ENOUGH. If only I wrote in a fandom that was actually active and did all the fic exchange/challenge/secretsanta things. Neeeeeeeeeeeeed to be challenged in a big, interesting way. Not something inane.
Need some good fic to read too. Funny how you can really like an author when they write RPS, but as soon as they try to work within the contraints of a TV show and it's canon their writing gets a bit flat. And there are so many things that certain characters have been written to say or do that I just can't see. Some people just aren't the 'curl up in the corner with arms wrapped around their knees' kind of people!
I made some Shannen Doherty icons today. I haven't made many of her after all. I need some more people to icon too. Whatever happened to the Lostprophet icon challenge thing that was gonna happen?
