Meh, I am very much not tempted to post things I write at the moment. Not that anything is finished anyway, but even if it were, I wouldn't want to post it.
It's bad enough all the pairing wars that break out because omg people just don't understand your OTP and how canon it is or how much more believeable it is than yours or whatever (who cares?), but now I keep finding people snubbing their own pairings and the people who write them.
Yes, I used to do it with certain RPS. That wasn't a large fandom with a damn good list of both good fics and good authors both. It was unknown and unwritten by fandom at large. And over now.
If you don't like it, don't read it; how often has that been said? I can tell by a bloody summary or layout of a fic if it's going to be something I will like. So I don't often end up reading something I cringe at. If I do, I stick it out for as long as I can to work out if it has any redeeming features, then if it doesn't, I click the x and forget about it.
I don't bitch in my LJ or pull it pieces with my friendsI grew out of that ;). Everyone is more than entitled to an opinion, but damn if anyone is paranoid, it's writers! Why should we be adding to that when we should be squeeing over what we love together?
I suddenly got all 'love thy neighbour-y' on your asses, so what?
I couldn't even prove anything has ever been said about me in regards to writing I actually care about. But luckily last night Cyn came back and I just wrote and had a laugh with her and forgot to even care what others might think.
So I don't just write for me. I write for us ;)
I am too lazy to get up and get a drink of water. My throat is so dryyyyyyyyyyyyy.
