birthday rambling

I'm rather sick of people telling me I am hard to buy presents for, because I don't think I am AT ALL. I love Eeyore stuff, and big tacky earrings, books, especially of the fantasy genre (oh and the pretty naked girl genre), littel beads and charms I can make into earrings (as I have been yay), fun t-shirts, various TV shows available on DVD like Simpsons, Futurama, Charmed, CSI, Two Pints, etc, CDs like VNV Nation, I don't own all their CDs, Silverchair, Dissos and Manic singles I don't already own, other bands whose singles I might like to own, Oriental things (silk-covered books and boxes and pretty things), other tacky and pretty things in general...

Is that not good enough?!

Though I did just work out what my response should have been to both Carrie and my mum asking what I want for my birthday; MY LIP PIERCING FINALLY!


Oh, and p.s - YES Cyn I will take pictures of the three tops I bought today (you'll love them!) and no it wasn't too bad, but that is all I managed to buy at all. Colchester really sort of sucks.

I don't know if I'll ever get it :/

I got my eyebrow pierced when I was 16, but it wasn't deep enough and grew out. I've never had that replaced, and when I inquired at the job I'm at now my boss told me that the owners don't really approve of eyebrow piercings.

I've wanted my lip done since I was about 15 (so it's not just a phase like everyone reckoned!) but when I was 16 I had a job where it wouldn't have been accepted (BHS; big department store not just for grannies but used by them mostly), and now I doubt they'd like it at this job either, if they don't like eyebrow piecings!

But uhm yeah, if they say it's okay, I WANT IT DONE FINALLY!

I personally don't think you're hard to shop for! But then, maybe it's cause you show me things you want all the time, and mention them.

I know exactly what I'm getting you for your birthday! :D

Well I do that with most everyone! I think my mum just doesn't pay attention enough AND is scared of getting it wrong (typical mum thing; I have such extreme tastes she can't tell whether I'll like it or not coz has such different taste!) and Carrie just doesn't care about anything I'm interested in, for real. She doesn't ask questions, doesn't show any interest, we don't have lots of things in common. So there, it's not MY fault she waits til last minute! I used my initiative with her!

You know, for a minute I was kinda surprised about that fact about Carrie, but I realize I shouldn't have been. :x. You think someone who claims to love you would listen to you, and take an interest in the things you like.

Yes well, I know that and you know that, but some people only care about themselves! It's things like that which make me realise why we could never work out. No-one else sees those kind of things but me.

It wouldn't work out, as cynical as that is. If you two have nothing in common, how can she even think you two would work out? Sometimes girls confuse me!
