emothySo last night instead of going to sleep I ended up watching Final Match Rikkai First Service Act One in bed. And omg. Omg. OMG XD I love this Rikkai cast so much, and Massu! GENKI. GENKI GENKI GENKI. He is so GOOD, he has this crazy maniacal laugh that I adore. When they first come out Massu looks really serious, I think nervous, but then he throws himself right into it and it's like "there's Yukimura!". I was laughing like a crazy person watching it all XD
You so need to have watched the Nationals Rikkai matches so that you understand what's being said; they keep it exact to canon as far as I can tell (plot-wise, specific dialogue I'd have to listen for XD). The first act has Shitenhouji possibly talking about the matches before they start, Singles Three; Sanada vs. Tezuka, and Doubles Two; Yanagi and Kirihara vs. Inui and Kaidoh. Of course Kane is brilliant and he and Baba Ryoma make their match great. Genki makes the Doubles Two match, and in demon mode he's even better than he normally is XD
AND OMG I FRIGGING FORGOT. ATOBE. THE HELICOPTER. THEY FILMED IT OUTSIDE BUT THEY INCLUDED IT.

That was last night, and I probably am not expressing my glee over it to the full. But this morning I began to watch Act Two. It starts with Shitenhouji again, and then Niou and Fuji STEAL THE SHOW with Singles Two. I love the Illusion song so much, Masa is amazing. So is Taito; he's completely grown on me as Fuji. He even does well enough to keep up with Masa's dancing.
Doubles One is the Golden Pair vs. Marui and Jackal. And though I've seen Kiriyama Renn and Jutta Yuki do better, because I'm not so invested in those characters I can still say Mio and Shingo did a well enough job. Mio's got the swagger for sure to hold his own playing Marui. And throughout all of this Massu gets plenty of lines to say in regards to what's going on in the matches and it's all wonderful.
Ryuuki is adorable as Ryoma yet again. I love his pretty, pretty face and his fragile act with the whole stupid amnesia plotline. And then before the final match we pause to let all the actors come out and bow individually and then as a group to the audience. I had to check my ipod to see how much time was still left for the show; I was worried they were going to leave us hanging on the last match XD
So Ryuuki stands and has his say, I wish there were translations because after that he gives Massu the stage. And Massu walks out in front of where he's stood, and they giggle and make him go and stand in the centre instead and I was all "MASSU FAIL OMG YOU'RE SO ADORABLE." And then he appears to thank all his "sempais" on the Rikkai team and says something that makes Masa and then everyone else on the team practically wet themselves AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IT IS XD OH WAIT; OKKI'S CRYING XD THEY'RE LAUGHING AT OKKI CRYING OVER WHATEVER MASSU SAID <3 Awww and then everyone on Rikkai tells Massu to do his best for his 'match' XD
AND NOW HALF THE SHITENHOUJI MEMBERS ARE CRYING BECAUSE OF HIDE'S SPEECH. OH, BOYS!
I was right; they're leaving Ryoma vs. Yukimura until Rikkai Final Match Second. HOW MUCH MASSU WILL I GET?! XD
There is just a little too much talking for someone who doesn't understand Japanese; Masa makes me laugh though, the way he pipes up a comment every so often, and Ueshima-sensei singles him out. He's so suited to play Niou XD
