Card shops around here fucking SUCK! There's about a billion of them and they ALL SUCK.

Seriously; Clinton's for a start, the big national corporation, well they have the most choice, but even THEY didn't have the cards my mum was looking at in the (larger) store in Colchester so that screwed that up right away. Also they mark everything up about 400% by the way; a skinny little piece of crap card IS NOT WORTH £3.65.

Then there's Birthdays which was the first proper card shop I want to after the little diddy one that sells odd junk and cake decorations and stuff too, and that's when I noticed that they don't put the cards in any sort of normal order AT ALL. It goes mum, then gran and nan, and then some more mum, and mother, and humourous and than open mother's day (not to anyone specific I mean) and then MORE MUM. And they aren't just on the stands next to each other, they're here there and EVERYWHERE.

And of course the big corporations that don't sell Hallmark cards they have the same supplier as us, like that shop ON THE SAME ROAD AS OUR SHOP with the same mother's day gift bags and cards at more than twice the price! Seriously, the cards we sell for 79p (slightly larger than the most common sized card) are £1.99 in that shop; there's also one in the road with all the estate agents down it, and one on the same road as birthdays; they all sell cards from the same supplier as us, they're all a lot more expensive. At Christmas a card that would've cost 35p in our shop cost me something like £1.65.

AMERICANS ARE SO LUCKY THEY DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS TIL MAY OMG.

Woolworths do crappy overpriced cards too. Marks And Spencer had some pretty ones but they were just all fancy and flowery and not the kind of thing I wanted. I looked in our shop for a card for my nan because even though mum works there and DOES THE CARDS my nan doesn't so whee. I would've gotten one of the 99p cards anyway (that's the highest priced card I could get without it saying mum specifically!). Though apprently it was a "buy a mother's day card for your nan day" coz there WERE SOEM YESTERDAY WHEN I DID IT but today even though mum got some in on delivery too (though not a lot, about 24 all together if she got two packs) THEY WERE ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL GONE. Mum suggested the card shop on the road opposite us, Cardworks I think it's called, and I went in there and I didn't really like any of them either. Didn't even have any for nan! I found one that's not specifically to anyone though, with a fairy on it. My nan loves fairies. So now I have no card for my mother, and an open card for my nan.

I HATE CARD SHOPPING!!!111!!12£2!"£$/>xKABILLION.
