The Books Of Blood Volumes 1-3 and 4-6 for a POUND EACH. I was so amazed when the guy said they were that cheap, oh and when he complimented my choices, so I did mention my friend would kill me if I passed up the opportunity to buy them ;)
I hope they're there again because they had a bunch of fantasy books, which you don't see often, including the His Dark Materials Trilogy, but I didn't know any of the authors to know whether they'd be any good :/ Eh I guess at £1 for a book I'll just read the backs of the books and see what sounds interesting!
I'm 85 pages into Shaman's Crossing now. It's... Eh. I wish I knew where it was going already, so I'd know whether to be more enthused about reading it. The style feels kind of formal, but I guess since the kid is a Lord's son and expected to become a soldier, and supposedly narrating from an older age describign events in his childhood... See I try to remind myself of that but I still think it's all formal. And more tell than show. Why did she ever cop-out with Fitz & The Fool and give them up?!
