I'm more invested in it than I thought I'd be! I mean, at first the new siblings were so NASTY (not that they're exactly nice now!), and I'm so sick of everyone calling the lead "fat" (if she's fat, good god between the rest of us we could be a solar system!)
I think the addiction with Pokemon is that it combines a couple of game genres; the simulation (wherein you care for pets/etc.) and the quest. And I thought all the new additions were going to be confusing be it's really the same basic way to play with new shiny things added ;)
