emothy: (massu; oiran photoshoot)
I have two words to begin this post with.

Now, let's discuss that: )

I also have suggestions for the next photobook, because these things are important and should be thought about properly.
- Cop (Think the Etude outfit but with a shoulder holster, brandishing a gun, probably some blood *_*)
- At the Beach/Learning to Surf (if you already know how, Massu, I seriously don't care, PRETEND OTHERWISE. We want half-naked, wet and drippy dorkiness with lots of falling off the board and laughing about it. The ONE problem with this photobook is not enough smiling! Also, not enough long hair, UNF.).
- Samurai/Shinsengumi officer just go push Hamao out of PMK already omfg
- Motobike. Just get in denim and leather and get on a fricking motobike and let me die happy. The end <3

In other news (yes there is other news, reluctantly XD), tomorrow mum and I have a day off together for the first time since my birthday (which does not count because we spent the day with my grandparents too who did their best to bitch and moan about everything they felt like. We both love them, but SERIOUSLY. HARD. WORK. I love them, I love them /repeat). So tomorrow we are going to be living in the cinema! Mum wants to see the new POTC film, I want to see the new X-Men, so it's a trade ;) And we'll have a nice meal out too probably :)

We don't have Sky TV anymore, we have this BT Vision thing wherein they buy/rent/whatever seasons of TV shows and documentaries and stuff and you can watch them anytime. So I may have been mainlining seasons 2-4 of How I Met Your Mother (no they did not have season one! But I saw an episode while in Australia and it was you know, FUNNY, so I gave it a try nonetheless). I think Barney Stinson is my not-so-twin. We both go around talking about how AWESOME we are all the time <3333

This post would not be relevant without an oniikuma:

emothy: (mlp:fim so many books!)
1. MY DRAMA RATINGS (for the most part done, but still kind of a WIP).

2. Am debating whether to move my icon posts onto DW - do I really need another DW journal? Can I rely on LJ to host those posts? Does any of it matter? I'm hardly followed for my iconing skills XD

3. In the process of browsing tumblr I came across one that encourages picspam challenges: Themed Party. So I was trying to think of ideas for picspams I could do for my Dorama DW. So I collected up all the challenges from there and from [livejournal.com profile] picspammy: Under the cut! )

As well as all the [livejournal.com profile] drama_hunt tags/themes I keep hold of for future picspamming purposes.

Input on this would be cool though - can anyone think of a challenge or theme I could picspam anime/drama-wise? Anything you'd like to see me do? :D My most favourites are The Legend, Story of a Man, and Coffee Prince (although I assume that's been picspammed more than anything else), Prince of Tennis, Peacemaker Kurogane, K-On!, but I would also enjoy going back over Wang Qiu Wang Zi, My Prince (although the video files were never great quality even before they were subbed), Gokusen, 49 Days... Most anything I've watched, really. Here is a comprehensive list of what I've watched/partially watched.

4. I removed a bunch of comms/people from my flist, but really it's only communities I no longer wish to follow, and people who weren't following me or hadn't updated for at least two years.

5. There is a DW community called Arashi Fashion. Life is complete.
emothy: (massu; guh)
Dear SNSD, never stop being so flawlessly beautiful.

Dear Massu, never stop being such a DORK. And keep updating your blog five days out of seven - all this new work you're getting, I love it! Go for the big time! <3 xD (Also, PHOTOBOOK: I WANT IT NOW).

Dear Ohno, never stop being a stoner YOURSELF

Dear Kubota Yuki, you are one hot bitch. (And Kei, you're cute too *ruffles hair*)

Dear fic-promptly peoples, post some prompts in fandoms I could feasibly write! For example: Prince of Tennis, Gokusen, Mei-chan no Shitsuji, Coffee Prince, Arashi, Peacemaker Kurogane, Wang Qiu Wang Zi? Oh, I don't know; you're all supposed to be psychic! xD

I was also listing down things that need picspamming in general, like dilantancy with Jun getting stuck, and Aiba slipping over, and all the distressed faces. Or the two-person-two-legged races because Sho and Nino discuss how it feels to be back-to-back butt-to-butt. Or when Hoshino Aki teaches Arashi how to pose for photos so that when you're undoing your pants you're pushing your breasts together and highlighting them (because Arashi should totally be doing that all the time!)

Dear tumblr, I love you, and I am watching with stars in my eyes as practically everyone I know on LJ who loves Arashi slowly become merged into a big mass of reblogging adoration thanks to you <3333

So, mum suggested that we go out early today and spend the whole day out (shopping, and coincidentally looking out for job vacancies for me). Considering I am still in my pjs and she is on the phone to her mum I have no idea what "early" meant, or when we'll actually go shopping xD
emothy: (Default)
I hadn't yet posted any prompts to the DW comm fic-promptly: I'm not very good at coming up with prompts when put on the spot, and the things I tend to want otherwise are too specific to prompt random people with! Also, considering the fandom is so much quieter these days I don't really see the point in posting prompts that will most likely not get answered... But this theme was too easy xD

My prompts:
- Prince of Tennis, Atobe Keigo, being on top of Hyotei's Tennis Club means staying on top.
- Prince of Tennis, Seigaku Regulars, ranking matches
- Prince of Tennis, Rikkai Regulars, winning is everything, but nobody ever wins against Yukimura. How do the Rikkai Regulars consolidate these two things?
- Prince of Tennis, author's choice, being at training camp means being ranked amongst people from other teams, not just your own. Not everyone likes the results.
- Prince of Tennis, any team captains (and/or vice captains), creating their own hierarchy

In other news I have watched three episodes of Yankee-kun to Megane-chan today, and though there are so many reasons it wouldn't work, in my head I am pretending that it is 'Yankumi goes to high-school!' anyway XD Chiba is adorable, screw the main characters, I like him! And was episode three all about Shinagawa and his boyfriend and Adachi and her girlfriend or what?

I have another My Prince picspam to do: I haven't posted in my Doramas journal yet this month and it's kind of bugging me! I did the screencaps a while ago, I just need to upload and code an actual post. eta; Done!
emothy: (book; reading)
I'm having 'net troubles again, so instead of bitching about that I'm just going to talk about a comm I rediscovered today. I did know of it but I'd never explored it properly.

On my DW flist the community promotions comm has been more active, and someone posted linking to fic-promptly, which is based on the concept of [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic, and only just beginning. The Comment Fic comm is well established and looks well organised too, and I figured some of you might want to check it out.

Every Monday to Thursday a new theme is posted and you get to put prompts in the comments according to the theme and write ficlets in response. Once a day is over no more prompts are allowed but you can fill prompts at any time, the "lonely prompts" are collected up in a delicious account and you can search by specific fandom or the any/author's choice prompts if you want a bit more freedom to choose. I've been poking around the prompts to see if I could fill any old ones (apparently my computer is happy to load the delicious site!).

Friday is free-for-all, any prompts and no theme, and the weekend is to fill some of those lonely prompts specifically even though you can do that at any time.

I've probably said so much nobody is interested anymore; go check it out for yourself :D

(And duh, if the concept appeals obviously you could join the DW community and help that get off to a good start, I'm not just pimping the LJ one. And if anyone does prompt or anything let me know in case it's something I could possibly try my hand at? There's so many fandoms already there I don't even know!)
emothy: (book; reading)
I like Google Reader; I keep up to date with the online comics I read without either forgetting for weeks and then reading 50 strips in a row, or checking obsessively every day because I forget which days they actually update in a week ;D And it's also useful for LJ feeds which I took off my flist because some update in waves and I get lost amongst all the posts. Google Reader also keeps them all under their own individual names so you can just go through one at a time (see: comic strips altogether rather than updates in between), and you can mark some to go back to and probably lots of other features I don't care to use.

I spent a couple of hours this morning on GoodReads adding childhood books. That was fun! And found Noey had an account. I only have Noey and Cyn friended there so if anyone else wants to, tell me if you have an account so I can stalk you XD

On a very related note, have a linkspam of things reccomended to me on Google Reader:

Honeymoon Suite: So you'd either be too creeped out by the spectators or too memerized to actually *enjoy* your honeymoon...

The way things were? I like them better just the way they are now. Mother Nature's gift to us!

Postcard-en: I have never called paper and plants adorable before but I am now.

Skull Spoons: I think with the teeth they're actually more like sporks XD

The Most Confusing bookshelf: Seriously, I've looked at every picture and I still can't work it out

World Coolest Treehouse? It reminds me of the Ewoks, personally...
emothy: (peacock feathers)
- I clearly have no understanding of the concept of kink_bingo, because the squares I initially have noted down ideas for are all over the place and do not make a bingo XD

- In using my "Fandoms that are not POT" fic masterlist to (not) find Mei-chan fic I'd written I have discovered I haven't been updating it. I also have a list of things that used to be on GreatestJournal I have recovered through old emails of comments and had not added those to my list, either.

Have now added a Coffee Prince listing, a Mei-chan no Shitsuji listing, a Mendol fic, a Gokusen drabble, changed the links to two Hobb fics from dead GJ links to active LJ ones and added some more drabbles, added a Clive Baker's Imajica listing, and a fair bit more actually. There are some misc. fandoms I've only written in now and then with fics on an older fic journal I might make note of too, to keep the fandoms together.

- Speaking of the list, I have linked to my POT fic masterlist on it, so at least everything is linked to on that post, even though POT has so much fic it has its own post.

Because [livejournal.com profile] anenko and [livejournal.com profile] aliaspiral have been posting Mei-chan fic I decided to join in/give back/follow suit. Whatever sounds best ;) Three fic posts today:

title: Role-Reversal
character(s)/pairing(s): Mei/Rihito
genre: het, non-explicit but suggestive
wordcount: 434
notes: Just a little snippet I wrote based on a [livejournal.com profile] springkink prompt that I didn’t plan on posting. But I still have it on my computer which means I hung onto it for a reason!
prompt: [livejournal.com profile] springkink: March 6; Mei-chan no Shitsuji (drama), Rihito/Mei: role reversal "It's my job to anticipate your every desire, isn't it?

title: A Lady and her Butler Part One, Part Two
character(s)/pairing(s): Izumi, Kiba
genre: gen, het, future-fic
wordcount: 493, 512
summary: Every lady requires something different from her butler. And every butler has his own reason for serving his lady.
notes: parts 1 and 2 were written back last December. I thought posting them might motivate me to finish the others; a possible 7 parts in all, I think.
